“Anyone who wants to see changes in downtown Glencoe can grab a piece of chalk and post suggestions on a pair of community input boards set up on Wyman Green between the Glencoe Public Library and Village Hall, courtesy of the Plan Commission, which is gathering feedback as it moves toward a formal update of the village’s comprehensive plan, expected to be completed next year.
The chalk boards have 16 spaces in which residents can complete the sentence: “Downtown Glencoe would be better if …”

“Meetings, emails and a community ‘ideas chalkboard’ will help officials learn what residents and businesses want to see downtown. “We are embarking upon an exciting time in Glencoe’s history — the review and ‘tune-up’ of our downtown district — and will be using every venue we can to ensure our residents and businesses have many opportunities to share their ideas and comment on our process,” explained Caren Thomas, Plan Commission Chair.”
